Mr. Umang Vohra was appointed Chairman of Cohance Lifesciences Limited effective May 1, 2026, and subsequently assumed the role of Group Chief Executive Officer effective May 20, 2026. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic direction to the group, strengthening financial and operational performance, accelerating long term growth, and enhancing value creation for shareholders. With more than 30 years of leadership experience across global pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations, Mr. Vohra brings deep expertise in strategy, financial stewardship, operations, and transformational leadership.

His career spans senior leadership roles across some of India’s most respected companies. Earlier in his professional journey, Mr. Vohra was associated with PepsiCo India, where he built a strong foundation in financial strategy and business planning within a multinational environment. He subsequently spent over 14 years at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, serving as Chief Financial Officer and Head – North America Generics, where he played a key role in driving strategic growth initiatives, executing global expansions, and strengthening the company’s generics portfolio.

Mr. Vohra later joined Cipla Limited in 2015 as Global Chief Financial & Strategy Officer and went on to serve as Managing Director and Global Chief Executive Officer from 2016. Over nearly a decade, he led Cipla through a period of transformative growth—strengthening its global leadership in respiratory care, advancing initiatives to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR), expanding into digital therapeutics and specialty segments, and reinforcing innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainability. His tenure was defined by a strong commitment to patient‑centricity, good governance, talent development, and Cipla’s purpose of Caring for Life.

Mr. Vohra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology and an MBA from T.A. Pai Management Institute. Raised in a defence family, he is strongly shaped by the principles of discipline, integrity, and service to society. These values continue to inform his leadership philosophy and underpin his contributions to the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem.
